GUATEMALA PERLA NEGRA
Roast Level: Light
Flavor Notes: Lemon, Marshmallow
Processing Method: Washed Process
We were blown away by the overwhelmingly positive reaction from early tasters of this full-bodied Guatemalan coffee, and we’re so excited to finally release it to the masses. The beans themselves are first grown on two separate lots in the mountains of Chiquimula and Zacapa, which are then carefully blended by producers to exhibit a special balance between toasted marshmallow sweetness and lemon curd acidity. The exquisite combination definitely makes for one of our most treasured light roast coffees to date—aptly titled at the source as the “Black Pearl” of coffees. We don’t expect this one to last long, so grab a bag while you can!

Store, Brew & Compost
Storage & Packaging: Committed to sustainability at every turn, we package all of our coffees in biodegradable or recyclable bags adorned with handcrafted descriptive tags or labels (made from upcycled jute material and 100% recycled paper products). To ensure that your product remains at its most fresh, be sure to completely seal the package after every use. Storage at room temperature is recommended.
Coffee Brewing: For best results, brew using 1-2 tablespoons of coffee per eight ounces of water. Always adjust your grind setting for your preferred brewing method and ensure that all equipment is sparkly clean.
Disposal & Composting: Once your biodegradable coffee bags are empty, please consider adding them to your home or community compost pile. We suggest first removing and recycling any remaining valves/zippers and upcycling any remaining coffee tags.
Coffee is one of those rare items that makes for a great gift for both loved ones and new acquaintances. If requested, we are happy to add a gift receipt with an optional personalized message to your order. An opportunity to request this service will be presented to you at checkout.
